I have no idea where I am... (Afternoon trip to a Buddhist temple in Mae Sot, Thailand)

I'd recently been told about a beautiful Buddhist temple complex just outside of the city of Mae Sot, Thailand. I asked almighty Google Maps for the best route to take on my rented scooter to get there, and I set off. The idea was to zip there in 24 easy minutes, take a stroll around the temple, and then zip back to my guest house afterwards. Simple.

Things did not go exactly as planned, as you can see in this video. I enjoyed the excursion very much, so I had no problem with how the afternoon played out. However, the 24-minute "zip" to the temple wasn't so much a zip as a meander and a plod with the occasional slip and fall.
