Hang Drum & Orchestra (Cinematic Improv #3)

This is video #3 in my Cinematic Improv Series, where I improvise, experiment and live loop cinematic pieces in the moment after hitting "record".

For this one, I featured some hang drums I discovered while traveling through Bali, that I just HAD to pick up and bring back home.

They have such a relaxing, calm and ethereal sound that I cannot get enough of. Here’s the thing though - instead of looping in this video, I am playing two instruments at once, with one hand on each!

So I got one hand playing the hang drum, and one hand on my keyboard.
Watch my first attempt to improvise something while playing both together! It was really challenging playing completely different rhythms and melodies with each hand all while coming up with a little theme, but lots of fun.
