Abstract: History has conclusively shown that for any new technology to truly succeed, it must honor both Open Source and Open Collaboration. The AI Alliance is a grouping of companies, universities, and other entities that take this to heart. We firmly believe that AI can be a game changer not only for business, but especially for the common good, but only if the ideals of Safe and Responsible AI is rooted in Open Innovation. In this session learn about the current status of the Alliance, future plans, and how you can get involved in the 6 Focus Areas that revolve around Advocacy, Trust & Safety, Application & Tools, Foundation Models, Hardware Enablement, and Skills & Education.
