Our Everglades Day Trip | Do I recommend?

On our trip in Miami, we decided to take a day trip to visit the Everglades. There was so much to see but it was also about 1.5 hours away from Miami. Was it worth it?

We started driving at 7am and we got to the Tour Location inside the Everglades around 8:30am. (Make sure to buy a day pass for this national park!)
The boat tour was about 3-3.5 hours.

For lunch, we went to a nearby restaurant, Camellia Street Grill. It had amazing food and views.

Around 2:30pm, we headed to our afternoon tour, which was around 3-6pm. Here we kayaked in tandem through a swamp river to see wildlife, alligators, plants, and the gorgeous Mangrove tunnels. Both tour guides were informative and friendly and the group size was small (6 in the morning tour and 4 in the afternoon tour). You can also email them for a private tour so you can make the best use of your day.

Make sure to bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, and wear shoes you don't mind getting wet! You don't have to be good at kayaking to do these tours.
