In this observation we explore the beautiful Jellyfish Nebula, also known as IC 443. This fascinating object is the remains of a massive star that exploded in a powerful supernova thousands of years ago.

Located about 5,000 light-years away in the constellation Gemini, the Jellyfish Nebula stretches nearly 70 light-years across space. Its glowing filaments and tentacle-like structures are formed as shockwaves from the explosion interact with surrounding clouds of gas and dust.
