In a major political development, Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, criticised the Trinamool Congress during an election rally in West Bengal.

He accused the state government of allowing atrocities against Scheduled Caste communities and also raised issues related to law and order. The speech included allegations about protection of rioters and people involved in cow slaughter.

Yogi Adityanath urged voters to support a “double-engine government” for better development and governance.

The elections in West Bengal are approaching fast, with the first phase of voting on the 23rd and the second phase on the 29th. The campaign shows a strong contest between the BJP and the TMC.
