STALINGRAD PROPAGANDA! Was Hitler really “obsessed” with taking the city?

Many of the history books say that Hitler was "obsessed" with taking Stalingrad, and it was ultimately this that caused him to send everything he had to the city, weakening the flanks, which allowed the Soviets to successfully launch Operation Uranus and surround Paulus's 6th Army. BUT IS THIS REALLY THE CASE? Let's dive into the German propaganda to find out what really happened.
