History of the McLaren F1 in Need for Speed

My video about the Toyota Supra recently passed 100k views, so I decided to make another one and after a whole week of hard work it is now complete. :) This time I am covering the legendary McLaren F1. I will alternate between Japanese and Western cars for these videos, so that there will be interesting cars for everyone.

Do you remember in which of the 21 NFS games the McLaren F1 was featured? Test your knowledge about the Need for Speed series and find out by watching this video. Feel free to pause at the question marks if you want to ask yourself first before seeing the answer. Note that the timeline will only list the games that include the car, so watch the video first if you don't want to be spoiled.

In each game that includes the car I have recorded one short race or event. As usual I have selected the clips very carefully and deliberately and for some of them I have recorded for multiple hours to get the runs as clean and interesting as possible. I tried to show a nice variety of gameplay, featuring racing, drag, police chases and a speed run. I have also included the car showcases from several games with information about the car and a few bloopers at the very end.

In Need for Speed 2, 4 and 6 the McLaren F1 is the best regular car in the game. Hot Pursuit 2 has both the normal and the LM version of the car.

In ProStreet the car is part of a booster pack that requires patch 1.1 on PC.

In World the car was infamous for not only being the best car in the game but also extremely expensive, costing almost as much as a full regular NFS game that just came out.

In Hot Pursuit 3 and The Run the F1 belongs to the fastest car classes. In Most Wanted 2 it is part of the Ultimate Speed Pack DLC.

In Rivals the car is only available for the police side and not for the racers.

Hopefully people will enjoy all the various runs that I recorded in these different games.

Note that this is meant to be a positive video celebrating an awesome car that was included in a large number of NFS games. If you want to hate on certain games or complain about the car not being included in some, then do it elsewhere.

If these videos keep getting over 50k views, then I will probably continue to make them for quite a while. They are a ton of work but if a lot of people like them it is worth it.
