Dolby Atmos from my HDMI ARC audio return channel, will it work?

This video talks about the ability to pass a Dolby Atmos audio signal from a streaming source to a surround sound AV receiver. This is quite a complicated matter is it is difficult to explain in a short video however the answer can be yes and also no. The simple answer is no and the complicated answer is of course yes, Dolby Atmos can be carried over an audio return Channel however it is a specific Kodak and it must be carried as an extension of the Kodak from a specific source. The easiest way to explain this as HDMI formats take up data space so does PCM audio data and that can be thought of as a data pipe where the clock rate determines how much data can be sent through that pipe. The three main rates that are important for Dolby is 48 192 and 768 khz. The data pipe is two separate channels having 16 bits per channel so multiplying the two would essentially give you 1.5mbps, 6mbps, and 25.5 mbps. Dolby Atmos uses a maximum bitrate of 24.5 megabytes per second. Hence the sample rate would equal 768 kilohertz. If a source material contains Dolby Digital plus it would normally have a sample rate of 192 kilohertz and a Max bitrate of 6 megabytes per second. So essentially there is no way of sending a Dolby Atmos over any type of PCM on an HDMI signal. In order to achieve Dolby Atmos you must send Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby true HD in order to experience Atmos. To achieve Dolby Atmos Dolby Digital plus based Dolby Atmos content can indeed be sent via an audio return Channel but the Dolby true HD based Dolby Atmos sources cannot. It is often times difficult to determine whether a source material has Dolby true HD or Dolby Digital Plus based content. So Dolby Atmos can be sent over audio return Channel but it must be within a Dolby Digital plus Source content it cannot be with a Dolby true HD based content.
