Alamid is a rock band from the Philippines. The group was formed in Manila in 1987 and remains active to this day. The band was initially founded by friends Gary Ignacio and Dexter Facelo, who were students at St. James Academy in Malabon. They rose to fame with their debut single, "Your Love," which was nominated for Song of the Year at the NU107 Rock Awards in 1995. They later became known for other songs such as "I Wasn't Brave Enough" and "I Still Believe in Love." They have also collaborated with the late singer and rapper Francis Magalona on one of his songs, "1896." The band has toured extensively, both in the Philippines and abroad, earning international acclaim.

'90s band Alamid was formed during the high school days of Gary Ignacio and Dexter Facelo at St. James Academy in Malabon. The two are the only remaining originals of the band when they were discovered signed up a recording deal with Warner Music in November 1994.

Alamid front man Gary Ignacio spent his last moments in the company of his family and friends before he took his last breath. The 49-year-old singer, the voice behind hit songs "Your Love" and "China Eyes," died of multiple organ failure On April 17, 2015, Friday after battling kidney cancer for eight months.
