Joko ea hao is a beautiful upbeat and energetic rendition of a native South African Hymn featuring the fusion of indigenous South African melody with the native sounds of Nigeria to create a unique Contemporary African sound taken from the Album "The Journey Still".
The song speaks about the power of the cross and our deliverance from the power of death through faith in Christ. The song is played in the key of Eb.

This recording was inspired from my days as a member at Rhema Bible Church in Randburg Johannesburg South Africa. I watched people leap from their seats and jump for joy as soon as the song starts playing. This made me more interested in finding out more and when I finally saw the meaning of the lyrics, I couldn't resist it anymore. Shortly after that i had a very devastating life experience just after my trip to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, where I went from living in wealth and comfort in South Africa to having to live in suffering and so much discomfort after being denied the opportunity of returning to South Africa and i ended up having to go back to Nigeria and i struggled for two years just trying to get a visa to return to South Africa. This was probably the worst two years of my life ever. Thanks to some of my friends like Nathaniel Bassey who accommodated me for a Full year at the expense of his own family and another great friend Afolabi who accommodated me for another one year and one of my students Kayode. It was during this period of great turmoil, discomfort and struggling that the Album The Journey Still (taken from Psalm 46 verse 10 Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth) was born. This bible verse was my anchor and rod of strength throughout that season and my GOD came through for me. I have written this so that it can encourage you. I pray that this song will bless you and that the Holy Spirit will minister solutions to your spirit in any areas you may be needing help in Jesus name. Amen.
