When lawyers gather in emails to be used as evidence in legal disputes it typically starts with a trickle, and sometimes turns into a flood. Many clients have a natural tendency to “Forward” emails to the lawyer by clicking the “Forward” button in Outlook, but that changes the substance of the original emails and prevents the lawyer from utilizing software to efficiently handle the historical emails. This video briefly describes some better methods to provide a lawyer with copies of historical emails that may be used in a legal dispute. The methods described are best suited for sharing small volumes of email, and exporting of .pst files (the best method for large volumes of email) is not covered.
