Trump says 'he already won; and he'll go to the Supreme Court'
DONALD Trump vowed he won't stand for a Biden win amid the deadlocked 2020 race, claiming the Democrats are trying to steal the election.
Speaking in the White House in a late-night press conference, Trump reeled off the states that he thought he had won before they started to hang in the balance, with the president blaming apparent fraud – despite there being no evidence.
Shortly after 2am, Trump said: "This is a fraud on the American public. This is an embarrassment on our country. We were getting ready to win this election. Frankly, we did win this election."
The president went on to say that his campaign is now considering turning to the Supreme Court.
Many Democrats feared such a scenario going into Tuesday's contest, with Trump repeatedly stating on the campaign trail that he may not accept the outcome of the result.
Trump said: "We were getting ready for a big celebration. We were winning everything, then, all of a sudden, it was called off."
"We want the law to be used in a proper manner, so we'll be going to the U.S. Supreme Court," he added.
