Security Scan : India's Military Might

India has retained 4th rank in the Global Firepower Index of 136 countries ranked on the basis of their military capabilities . While USA , Russia and China are ranked 1st , 2nd and 3rd respectively , major military powers like France , UK , Japan , South Korea,Turkey and Germany are trailing India to form the top ten in the GFP List .

While our northern neighbour China continued to retain it's lead in terms of ranking , as per the GFP's assessment India has more armed personnel than China. Pakistan slipped four spots to 17 this year from 13th spot in 2017 trailing behind India on several parameters including military personnel and firepower.
