Down by the pond where the lily pads grow,
Lived a small green frog with a hop so slow.
His name was Freddy, with eyes big and bright,
He'd leap through the day and sing through the night.

Ribbit, ribbit, he’d call with glee,
Splashing around so wild and free.
He’d dive in the water, then jump on a log,
Playing all day—such a happy frog!

The dragonflies buzzed, the crickets would sing,
The ripples would dance as he'd take a spring.
He'd race with the fish, he'd chase a small fly,
Leaping so high, almost touching the sky!

One day he met a turtle so slow,
"Why do you hurry? Where do you go?"
Freddy just laughed, "I love to explore,
Hopping and skipping forevermore!"

The moon shone bright on the quiet, cool pond,
As Freddy kept singing with notes so fond.
A joyful frog with a song so sweet,
Dancing and jumping on happy webbed feet!
