Dark Chocolate Protein Balls | The Sweetest Journey
How to make an easy chocolate truffle that is both decadent and protein filled.

Ingredients:
1/4 Cup Dark Chocolate Protein Powder
1/4 Cup Cacao Powder
1/8 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Cup Natural Creamy Peanut Butter
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1-2 Tablespoons Honey
2-3 Tablespoons Water
2/3 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips or Melting Chocolate
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine the protein powder, cacao powder, and salt, stirring to combine. Add the peanut butter, vanilla, and honey. Stir together until a dough begins to form. Gradually add a bit of water so that the dough is soft, holds together, and is not crumbly. (I used about 2 tablespoons of water.)
2. Roll the dough into balls about 1 tablespoon each. Place on a dish or baking sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes or until firm.
3. Melt the chocolate chips or melting chocolate in a microwave according to package instructions. Roll each ball in the melted chocolate until fully covered then place in a parchment lined baking sheet or wire rack. Chill in the refrigerator until chocolate is set, 10-15 minutes.
4. Store in the refrigerator in an air tight container.
