How Much I Make With 100k Subscribers

Segway: So now here’s the first secret about Youtube

1. Youtube doesn’t pay you for subscribers
- So that means that even when I had 10k subscribers
- I was making more than some YouTuber with 100k subs and even some with 1 million subscriber
- It sounds weird I know but I’ll break down later in the video

2. Why Do you Guys ask for Subscriber in Every video
- The real reason is that people like your videos but they might forget to subscribe lol
- Happens to me a lot and then I cant find that person again

How does this Affect the Money:

- Notifications:
- Say Bill has 10k subs and Lucy has 100k subs, who gets the most views when they upload?
- Well if youtube notifies 100k people and 5% of them come, then that’s 5k views
- but if youtube notifies 10k people and even 10% comes, that’s still only 1000 views

- So that’s why subscriber are important, because it also helps with number 3 the algorithm

3. The Algorithm which cares about 3 main factors | In this order
- Click Rate
- Watch Time
- Engagement

Heres how it works:

- Click Rate: If I make a thumbnail, and youtube shows it to 100k people and on 1% clicks on it, then that’s only 1k views. Youtube will stock showing it. But if 5-10% click on it, then youtube will share it more.
- Watch time: If people watch your entire videos youtube likes that
- And if people comment, and like, youtube also likes that

Why? Because that way Youtube Knows your videos are good and pushes it to more people
- And the more ads in your video, the more money youtube makes

4. Heres the Money
- So on average each view on youtube makes me around 2 pennies is my cut and youtube makes another 2 pennies
- Notice I say average, I’m not allowed to say my exact CPM per videos.
- But CPM is Cost Per Mile, aka how much money you make from 1000 views

5. So now let's do the Math
- If I have 100k subscriber
- And only around 2% on average come to watch each video at the low end
- That’s 2000 views per videos, 30 videos per month ( since I post every day)

Math:
- 2000*30= 60000 ( new Videos)
- Older videos ( over 400 of them * 10 views per day ) = 4000 ( per day) * 30 = 120k ( per month )
- And Remember those Semi Viral Videos: 400/12 = 33 videos *45% = 15 * 1000= 15,000( per day ) * 30 = 450,000 views per month

Total Videos: 630k Views Total
And to get the Money: 630k views * .02 = $12,600 bucks

But I really made: $13,870
How? Remember that 2 pennies are just on average

And on Top of That: 640k

Conclusion: Should I make a video about how much the average person on youtube makes per 1000 views? Oh and remember these videos will keep compounding and growing.
