Government bans demonstration against Narok governor Samuel Tunai

The government has banned a demonstration against Narok governor Samuel Tunai slated for today in Narok. Interior cabinet secretary Joseph Nkaissery in a statement read on his behalf by the Narok county commissioner, Nkaissery called for calm and patience as the ethics and anti-corruption commission probes claims of corruption against Tunai. Organizers of the anti Tunai demo led by Narok senator Stephen Ole ntutu have however vowed to go on with their planned demonstration and march to the county headquarters to present a petition to the governor.
