Meike macro tubes are the easiest way to get into macro photography or videography. They are a budget friendly option to larger name brands. It turns any lens into a macro lens without sacrificing picture quality or loosing autofocus capabilities.

Tip #1: Focus on the details because that is where macro works best. The slightest details will be amplified to fill the frame.

Tip #2: Step down the aperture. f8 to f20 is a good way to increase your depth of field, but you will need a tripod because you will probably have to increase the shutter time to compensate.

Tip #3: Use your lighting. Make sure not to block your subject with your camera lens. Since you are so close to the subject it is easy to get too close and cause shadows with your camera or lens.

Tip #4: Use Shallow DOF. Macro extension tubs can make extremely shallow depth of field. You can use this to your advantage to isolate a single slice of the picture while leaving the rest of the picture in beautiful Bokeh!

Tip #5: Alter Time with Timelapse. Macro videography is an interesting way to zoom in to see the details, and creating a macro timelapse is an amazing way to show the change of those details.
