Minneapolis History in Plain Sight: Flyte Tyme Studios
A brief look at the history of Flyte Tyme Studios on Nicollet Ave in South Minneapolis. A lot of people might be surprised to learn the many albums by the likes of New Edition, Robert Palmer, Patti Austin, Human League, Herb Albert, Alexander O’Neal and Janet Jackson were recorded in this tiny, nondescript building across from the crematorium.
