Philomel Cottage by Agatha Christie | Selected Short Stories | English by the Nature Method
This is my unofficial reading of "Philomel Cottage" by Agatha Christie, the fifteenth in a series of short stories compiled by Arthur M. Jensen of English by the Nature Method. Alix marries a man she doesn't know well but connects with quickly. She finds out he has a major secret.
This book was put together by Arthur M. Jensen using The Nature Method. The Nature Method is a language learning method which uses our natural ability to acquire languages. This book has a minimal approach to grammar and skill-learning. Instead, it allows the reader to improve their English simply by reading through the book. Arthur M. Jensen has organized this book as a bridge from English by the Nature Method to regular books meant for native speakers of English. He does this by rewriting many works by famous authors in a way comprehensible to those who are familiar with the 2,300 most common English words found in the English by the Nature Method book. Words are from there introduced little by little until the reader has a passive vocabulary of 3,700 words.
