How to Finish a Wire Tuck Like a Boss | WideFox Build
If you've watched the last two video releases on completing an engine harness tuck, you know that I've slimmed down the engine harness by removing the salt & peppers shaker connectors and then fed everything I could back into the cabin area.
This video shows how to start covering everything with Design Engineering (DEI) Split Loom to make it look great and hidden. The process starts by covering the small harnesses like injectors and individual wires, then going into the larger harness loom and into the main loom. Start at the end of the harness and work backward to the firewall grommet adjusting length as you go for each wire.
On the inside, it will become a mess as I show. That's OK. Once you have a clean breaking point at the firewall, you can then determine what length each wire should be to reach the new ECM position under the passenger seat. From there, you cut, and lengthen each wire until you're done.
All the material I used to complete the work is in my Amazon store for reference. DEI Split Loom (all 3 sizes), cutters, solder, soldering iron, etc.
I also just jumped on Twitter. You can follow me there also as well as the other social outlets.
