Dividing & repotting African Violets + Using Styrofoam cups!
Today we focus on the African Violets that I received last year from my mom. It's long over due, but they needed to be divided!

Here is the video with the propagation of the leaves, we like to let leaves root in water https://youtu.be/JoRI155kJyI
Now it is time to give the most vigorous plantless a home of their own. I chose my favorite potting mix based on peat and combined it with a lot of perlite.
This year I am trying out the polystyrene cups, since this material protects against both heat and cold. In the end a more stable and intermediate temperature around the roots is what I am looking for :)
