In this tutorial, I am giving you steps to solve Minecraft Error Code 0x80070057 On Windows 10/11. Check out the steps as shown below:

Step 1 - Restart Your PC

Step 2 - Check Storage Space

• Press Win + I and open Settings
• Go to System - Storage
• Make sure that it has minimum 5GB of free space

Step 3 - Run Windows Store Troubleshooter

• In Windows search, find “Troubleshoot Settings” and open it
• Click “Additional Troubleshooters”
• Scroll down and select “Windows Store Apps”
• Choose “Run the troubleshooter”

Step 4 – Reset Microsoft Store & Game Services

Press Win + R, type wsreset.exe, and hit Enter.
Restart your PC and try launching Minecraft.

Step 5 - Reinstall Minecraft (Without Losing Data)

• Uninstall Minecraft
• Press Win + I to open Settings.
• Go to Apps - Installed apps
• Find Minecraft Launcher, click Uninstall.

Remove Leftover Files

• Press Win + R, type %AppData%, and hit Enter.
• Delete the .minecraft folder (backup saves first!).
• Press Win + R, type %LocalAppData%, and hit Enter.
• Delete any Minecraft folders you find.

Reinstall Minecraft

• Open Microsoft Store or Xbox
• Install Minecraft launcher

Step 6 - Check Windows Updates

• Press Win + I to open Settings.
• Go to Windows Update - Check for updates.
• Install any available updates, then restart your PC.
Step 7 – Run SFC & DISM to Fix Corrupt System Files

Open Command Prompt as Administrator
Run the following command and press Enter:

sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Restart your PC and try launching Minecraft again.

Step 8 – Reinstall Microsoft Store
• Open PowerShell as Administrator.
• Type the following command and hit Enter: pgsql
• Get-AppxPackage *WindowsStore* | Reset-AppxPackage
• Restart your PC and check if Minecraft works.
