Task force press conference | Move to Phase 2 of Covid-19 reopening to be decided mid-June (May 28)

In a Task Force press conference on Thursday (May 28), National Development Minister Lawrence Wong announced that the decision to move to phase 2 of Singapore’s reopening would be taken in mid-June. If community transmissions remain low and stable during Phase 1 (starting June 2) then there is the possibility of commencing Phase 2 before the end of June.
Health Minister Gan Kim Yong added that the Ministry of Health is revising the discharge criteria for Covid-19 patients - those who are well by Day 21 can be discharged without further tests.
