This is a story from Madhya Pradesh where toll was being collected on Lebad-Ratlam road despite its poor condition. A petition was filed in the High Court by Prashant Gawaliory seeking action against the toll company. The High Court asked the collector to file a report about the condition of the road. The collector vindicated the petitioner and reported that the condition of the road was bad. The court stopped collection of toll tax. After 17 days the collector again filed a report saying the road has been repaired but Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation filed another report belying the report of the collector stating that the condition of the road was still bad. As per conditions of the contract a fine of 57.34 lakh was imposed on the toll company for keeping the road in poor condition for 107 days. For details watch the above video.
