Velcro Fuzz by Volume & Power Company

I built the first Velcro style two transistor fuzz as an experiment, because I was curious to hear what it would sound like. I did not expect it to become my go to fuzz. There are about eight different classic fuzz circuits that share this layout with wildly varying part values from the Shin-Ei to the Orpheum. I tried all the traditional values and settled on a part set that I thought worked well across a range of different pickup types and musical styles. This is a non gated, dark sounding zippy style fuzz that reacts well to the guitars volume control but never fully cleans up. Inside there is a pair of metal can BC108 silicon transistors on a custom built PCB, assembled by hand in Renens Switzerland. Perfect for wild psychedelic 60s and 70s rock tones, desert rock, sludge or doom metal.
