King Joseph of Khazaria (First Person Accounts in Jewish History)
Brief overview of the 10th-century correspondence between King Joseph of Khazaria and Hasdai ibn Shaprut of Muslim Spain. Widely considered a medieval forgery, the correspondence nevertheless sheds much light on how the story of the Khazar conversion to Judaism spread over the centuries.
