Lisfranc and Bifurcate Ligaments: MRI Anatomy

Learn how to identify the Lisfranc ligament complex and the bifurcate ligament on MRI.

You will learn that the dorsal lisfranc ligament is the weakest and that the other two are easy to find on MRI (the interosseous lisfranc ligament and the plantar lisfranc ligament).
The bifurcate ligament has two bundles, the lateral calcaneonavicular ligament, which you should not mistake for the spring ligament, and the calcaneocuboid ligament.
