We took a boat from a neighboring village up the river, an hour each way but fantastic fauna and flora. German my guide, a local birder, and I were the only ones there. German pointed out that this site here along the river had no local stone, so all these platforms of massive stone, plus smaller stone structures etc. all these materials were imported in. Overwhelming!
