I Will Die If I Run Out of Batteries
Serene’s 11 year old daughter had to save her life when her heart stopped beating at an MRT station.
At 32, Serene was left with 12% heart function and her organs were starting to fail. For the next 3 years, this is how she survived - relying on a mechanical pump to keep her heart beating, and blood donations to keep her alive when the wires sticking out of her raw flesh caused infections.
