Forging Heavy Iron Braces in Building the Rear Axle Assembly | Engels Coach
Braces for the back axle, and supports for the front bolster, in the Borax Water Wagon undercarriage. These braces stabilize the front and rear axles to maintain their positions when carrying 1200 gallons of water that waters the 20 mules as they traversed the Mojave Desert in the 1880s.
