On our way to #NAMM, we stopped in Fullerton Ca on Fender Avenue to visit our friends at G&L Musical Instruments. Dave McLaren shows us around the factory and gives us a history lesson at this historic location. See how a G&L is made and spend some time in Leo Fender's Lab.
Founded by the legendary Leo Fender and George Fullerton, G&L Musical Instruments have been widely praised for their superb quality and tone. These titans of the electric guitar world took their knowledge of tried-and-true instrument builds and introduced a number of groundbreaking design elements - a testament to their levels of expertise. Today, G&L guitars and basses deliver unsurpassed performance and value, while continuing to implement those very improvements that have come to define the lineup. The Saddle-Lock bridge helps the guitar maintain sustain by reducing side-to-side movement of the saddles. Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups utilize a ceramic bar magnet that allows a performer to control the output level of each string by making subtle adjustments, a more custom approach compared to the one-size-fits-all characteristics of a straight single-coil. From the hard-working, value-packed Tribute line to the no-holds-barred instruments made in Fullerton, California, G&L guitars and basses are ready to rock, period.
