Cordoba, Spain - Cordoba Patio Festival tribute sculpture & 1st tour on agenda

We began our 1st tour of the annual Cordoba Patio Festival, in Cordoba, Spain, by visiting the tribute sculpture by local artist José Manuel Belmonte. It was installed on the Puerta del Rincón.

The first tour was an unusual one compared to most of the many others we saw: I believe it was a prime example of the housing referred to as "Solariega Houses" where a housing unit is comprised of several smaller houses united as one, similar to bungalow-type of housing. Most other places we toured consisted of one large home, it seemed.
