‘Bring the Iranian economy to a halt’: Expert floats Kharg Island blockade plan in Iran war

Sky News Defence Analyst Peter Jennings details how the United States could bring the Iranian economy “to a halt”.

“I think that there’s a need to think laterally about what the Americans could do, and blockading Kharg Island, which is the central island in the Persian Gulf that distributes Iranian crude oil to tankers,” Mr Jennings told Sky News host James Macpherson.

“That would be a way of bringing the Iranian economy to a halt very quickly indeed.

“We also need to see more American action to prevent Chinese shipments.”
