Title IX has required equity in school sports for over 50 years now, and the California Fair Play Act has required equity in community youth sports for over 20, but female students and youth still face widespread inequities in sports access across California. On this National Girls and Women in Sports Day, please join CWLC attorneys to discuss the laws that mandate equal opportunity, treatment, and benefits for youth athletes in K-12 and community sports, and our advice in resolving these inequities through the pre-litigation process.
