Raspberry Pi RFID Attendance System
In this video, we will be showing you how to set up an RFID based attendance system using a Raspberry Pi.
If you are having trouble, be sure to check out our written guide: https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-rfid-attendance-system/

This project is relatively complicated and involves integrating several different projects.
During the first part of this video, you will learn how to wire both an RFID RC522 reader and a 16x2 LCD to your Raspberry Pi.
Make sure you take your time with this section as it can be quite easy to mess up the wiring when connecting it up to your Raspberry Pi's GPIO pins.
After we have completed each section of the wiring, we will be testing that they have been connected using some simple Python scripts.
As well as showing you how to connect all the components, we will also get you to set up a SQL database and a simple web interface.
This web interface will allow you to check your registered user's attendance and check when they tapped their RFID card to the reader.
By the end of this video, you should have a functioning RFID based attendance system running on your Raspberry Pi.
