EGG DROP SOUP IN 2 EASY WAYS

Egg drop soup is a Chinese soup usually serve in the restaurants as an appetizer. My version consists of chicken stock, beaten eggs, salt, ground pepper, etc. Serve it while it’s steaming hot and serve it as an appetizer or a side dish, partner with a fried dish.

Ingredients:
Basic Egg Drop Soup
2 beaten eggs
cornstarch slurry (1.5 tbsp of cornstarch & 1.5 tbsp of water)
2 cups of chicken stock
1/2 tsp of iodized salt
1/4 tsp of ground pepper
1/4 tsp of soy sauce
1 stalk of spring onion (chopped)
1/2 tsp of sesame oil (optional)
spring onion & toasted garlic for toppings

Egg drop soup with veggies
2 cups of chicken stock
1/4 tbsp of minced ginger
2 tbsp of diced carrots
2 tbsp of diced mushrooms
cornstarch slurry (1.5 tbsp of cornstarch & 1.5 tbsp of water)
2 beaten eggs
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of ground pepper
1/4 tsp of soy sauce
2 stalks of chopped spring onion
1/2 tsp of sesame oil (optional)
spring onion & toasted garlic for toppings
