What Actually Makes an AI System “Agentic”?

Everyone is talking about agents and agentic AI, but the definitions are getting messy fast.

The key point: not every AI workflow is truly agentic. To be considered agentic, a system needs features like access to tools, iterative processes, reflection, communication with other agents, and some level of autonomy.
