OKSANA CHERNYUK, the artistic director and choreographer of the Sunrise International Dance Company, was born in Odessa, Ukraine. Oksana is a graduate of Odessa’s Ballet School and the Moscow Institute of Folkdance and Art. Oksana toured as the principle dancer in the “Black Sea” professional folk dance company all over North Africa, Europe, Ukraine, and Russia. In 1995, Mrs. Chernyuk was invited to perform in Houston as a featured dancer and ever since has performed at many known locations
