“SHOULD I HAVE PASSED TO R1?” – QB 1 Live | Madden 26 | Superstar Mode | with Coach Xavier.

This is one of those plays every real Madden player knows too well… you make the throw, the play happens, and as soon as the replay rolls you’re like: “WAIT… was R1 WIDE OPEN? 👀”

In this Short, I’m at QB trying to read the defense in real time. Pre-snap I’m checking the shell, looking at the corners, watching the safeties, feeling the pressure look. Post-snap, everything speeds up – pass rush coming, routes breaking, windows opening and closing in a split second. I make a decision, let the ball go… and then the question hits:

Did I make the right read… or did I sell and miss R1?

When you watch this, don’t just focus on the result of the play. I want you to really break it down like we’re in a film room:

– Who’s your first read based on the coverage?
– Is R1 actually open, or does it just look open on replay?
– Does the pass rush change what’s realistically throw-able?
– Was there a safer option underneath or a bigger shot downfield?

Pause it. Rewind it. Frame by frame if you have to. I want your honest football brain, not just “nice play” or “bad play.”
