Barking Riverside Extension

Earlier this year we sent out some of the largest plate girders to ever leave our Lostock facility. The four sections measured 3.5m deep and 38.5m long – with a combined weight of 472 tonnes and are required for the Barking Riverside extension project in London.

With loading, dispatch and transport challenges – this wasn’t a job for the faint hearted and the collaboration between Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure, VolkerFitpatrick Ltd and Severfield contributed to the safe and successful installation of the plate girders on site.
