As explained by Animal Kingdom's principal Imagineer, Joe Rohde, the space is loosely inspired by Balinese gardens. The architectural ornamentation is inspired by colorful folk art: Oaxacan carvings, Peruvian Moche ceramics, and American folk art carvings. While you're only steps from the Park's thrilling attractions, it seems like you're miles, maybe worlds away.
