Even More NVIDIA GPU Variations: RTX LHR GPUs Reduce Mining Rates
NVIDIA is splitting its GPUs into even more SKUs, now introducing "LHR" versions of the RTX 3080, 3070, and 3060 Ti. The LHR solutions will ship alongside non-LHR solutions (for now).

NVIDIA announced its new Lite Hash Rate (LHR) GPUs in the RTX 3080, 3070, and 3060 Ti families, although none have yet been announced for the GTX 1660, 1660 Ti, and 1660 Super cards that are still being manufactured. NVIDIA's plans for LHR is to reduce the hash rate by half, which should in theory bolster the market for gamers and DIY PC builders. Our concern is that this may inadvertently produce immediate pressure on supply as miners panic to buy all of the remaining non-LHR cards. We'll explain the specs, changes, and branding in this content.
