Exiled Bishop Speaks Out on Tanzania 2025 Elections Crackdown and why he's ready to Die for Justice

Tanzania held elections in October 2025 amid opposition and protests from the citizens who were demanding for constitutional change to allow for democracy in politics. During the protests, many citizens lost their lives while others were imprisoned for having dissent voices against the government. We spoke to a Bishop who’s now exiled in Kenya accusing the Tanzanian government of going after him for preaching messages of justice and freedom of expression. He says he’s ready to die as he fights to see Tanzania live by justice and the adherence to the rule of law respected.
