DT Based Case Study in Transient Response | ECA | SNS Institutions

A manufacturing plant experienced frequent failures in its motor control circuits due to voltage transients during switching operations. Students were challenged to identify the cause, analyze the impact on equipment, and design a suitable protection method. Using the Design Thinking approach, they empathized with industry needs, defined the problem, brainstormed solutions, and proposed surge protection devices. This case study helped students connect transient analysis with real-world industrial applications and problem-solving skills.
