Mayor of Crows - Jan 12, 2022

You never know how you are going to spend your week as Mayor. There has been LOTS of press on Sunnvyale’s crow problem this week. I have been working with the City Manager for the last few years to get sidewalks, parks, and streets spray washed.
In late November, I took a possible solution of green lasers to the City Manager, and Staff is going to start a pilot program in the next few weeks to try to get them to disperse and not roost in great numbers.
I never would have guessed so many news stations would want to run the story, since the solution has been tried and successful in a lot of different locations in the country for years. But it is the perfect mix of animals and high tech. Hopefully, this will be successful in alleviating the issue in our city.
