Canon M100 + 22m f2 lens: Killer combo!

The Canon M100 and 22mm f2 lens is a killer combo for all types of different photography. It's often dismissed as not being a 'serious' camera due to its simple design. But in fact it's a beast!

In this video I will explain why I love using my Canon M100 and 22m f2 lens so much and why perhaps you should consider picking up this underappreciated combo for your photography.

In a nutshell, the Canon M100's simplicity is its biggest strength. BY stripping away all the unnecessary distractions we are free to focus on having fun making great photos.

The image quality of the M100 and 22mm f2 lens is excellent - more than good enough for my needs - and the lack of a viewfinder encourages me to be more creative with the photos that I take.

No it isn't perfect - no camera is - but for the price you pay for one of these it doesn't need to be. There is now a Canon M200 on the market, but apart from the addition of 4k video there isn't any difference from the M100. As I don't shoot much video with this camera, I won't bother 'upgrading' to the newer model.

The Canon EF-M 22mm f2 lens is an absolute gem. Very sharp and it render pictures in a really lovely way. Being limited to the 35mm equivalent focal length is actually an advantage in my mind as it challenges me to think more carefully about composition. I'd recommend everyone tries this technique to improve their photography.
