🇸🇪 Sweden is making its largest military investment since the Cold War

The government and the Sweden Democrats have agreed on 300 billion SEK in additional defense funding over the next 10 years.

The goal? To raise defense spending to 3.5% of GDP by 2030, far above NATO’s current 2% target - anticipating that the bar will soon be raised across Europe.

This year alone, 25 billion SEK will go toward new military equipment, and another 96 million SEK will be invested in countering hybrid threats like cyberattacks and disinformation.

Sweden is also increasing its support for Ukraine - from 25 to 40 billion SEK this year.

The message is clear: defense is now a top national priority.
