The auto model in GitHub Copilot picks the best model for each task and gives paid plans a 10% discount on model costs. In this video I walk through how I actually use it: plan with a heavyweight model, then switch to auto to execute the plan. You get smart planning, cheaper execution, and the discount stacked on top.
